Participate in the EMF Network

Your benefits as an EMF or LE Subscriber are directly and indirectly related to the EMF Network, which connects EMF and LE Subscribers to each other and to the public. To get the most out of your benefits as an EMF or LE Subscriber, please read the following guidelines. If at any time you have questions, contact us at subs@emf.org.

PROMOTION

Let people find you. Be sure we have your website address for inclusion in the EMF Subscribers list.

      Submit your URL

Let the world know what you're doing. List your events in the Arts Electric email calendar, which is broadcast every week to an email list of about 10,000 addresses. Send us the information a week or more before the event in the body of an email. Send it to ae@emf.org. Tell us:

      · the name of the event;
      · the title, name of presenter, composers, performers;
      · the date, time, and place (address, city, and country); and
      · where to go for further information (website, email, or phone).

Do you offer products or services? If you're an individual or the principal person in a company that sells or offers innovative products or services that could benefit EMF Subscribers, we'd like to help you get the word out through our online directory and a monthly update email via EMF World. Please send a one-paragraph description of your product or service, and a website and/or email contact, to p&s@emf.org.

COMMUNITY

Information. EMF World, the default listserv for EMF and LE Subscribers, is a moderated listserv that enables communication among EMF's worldwide network of more than 1600 individuals and organizations. EMF World includes specific types of messages—EMF Bulletin Board for short notices such as prizes, CD or book releases, tips on websites, and similar items; and the EMF/SEAMUS Professional Opportunities Compilation, listing job notices, calls for participation, and related items—as well as brief notes from Subscribers. To send a message to EMF World, address it to emfsubs@emfmail.org

EMF Direct, for those EMF and LE Subscribers that want to minimize their email, is a listserv including only those messages that originate directly from EMF.

DISTRIBUTION

CDs, books, other media. Send us your music and books for distribution to the public at CDeMusic. We will maintain your items in our catalog regardless of how many we sell. If you would like us to distribute your CDs, DVDs, or books, contact us at subs@emf.org.

To create an artist page at CDeMusic, send the following information to us at subs@emf.org:

      · a hi-res photo,
      · a brief and personal artist's statement,
      · a brief description of what you do,
      · a press quote,
      · a brief paragraph listing important professional credits, and
      · a statement of what you do now.

DISCOUNTS

Share your materials. The EMF Exchange provides a special opportunity for EMF and LE Subscribers to share their CDs, books, and other items with other Subscribers as gifts or at exceptional prices. Offers are sent four or five times per month through EMF World. If you are interested in initiating an offer, please contact us at subs@emf.org.

Normal purchases. All EMF and LE Subscribers receive a 10% discount on everything they purchase through CDeMusic.

GRM Tools. EMF and LE Subscribers will receive a discount of $200 when they purchase a bundle of GRM Tools software. See CDeMusic for sales details.
